<About Olim>

What the hell does "olim" means?

To my knowledge:

1. OLIM is Hebrew for 'repatriants'.
Details: 'Aliyah' literally means to ascent or to go up, such as to go up to Jerusalem to Worship.
'Olim' is a collective name for all who make Aliyah and return to Israel.

2. OLIM is Latin for 'once upon a time'.
Details: olim, adv. : - 1 - formerly, once. - 2 - lately, recently. - 3 - for a long time now; at times, often. - 4 - at a future time, hereafter, one day]. - 5 - usually.

3. OLIM is a pure investment management company...
Details: wow, wow, I'm sure these guys can do their own advertising...

. . .

So, what's the bottom line here?

As you've probably figured out already, this site has nothing to do with Israel, nor with any company whatsoever. It's my personnal site, about past and prospective days of my life. Hence, to begin the story I'm telling here, I figured that "olim" was as good a way as any.
And yes, I did study latin, at some point. For five years what's more! But that really was olim, as in "formerly, once", a very long time ago...
